Manoogian Simone Foundation

A family foundation established to fund Armenian organizations.

Built on extraordinary heritage and values, the foundation was established in 1962 by prominent philanthropists Alex and Marie Manoogian in the name of their daughter, Louise (1933-2019).

As the first and only female leader of the non-profit organization The Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU), as well as the first woman to lead the Eastern U.S. Prelacy of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Louise dedicated her life to Detroit civic leadership, humanitarian causes, preservation, and development of Armenian culture worldwide. Her legacy includes 1988 earthquake disaster relief in Armenia, and reconstruction of hospitals, schools, historical monuments, and cultural centers.

We started this challenge by translating Armenian patterns into letterforms and shapes with angular characteristics. This detail shaped the logo.
