Tatev Takes Flight Report

Tatev Takes Flight is a print publication that highlights Tatev as a top tourist destination in Armenia.

Tatev Takes Flight was designed for the Tatev Revival Foundation as part of the IDeA Foundation. This printed material provides a 10 step guide on how to put Armenia on the world touristic map, create a prosperous local community and revive the thousands years old monastic complex.

As a guide, there are a few simple elements that are used to differentiate each step, including color, typography, iconography, and shapes. We decided to use shapes as a main element, while still incorporating the idea behind a "collage". The shapes act as icons, and therefore as an organizational tool throughout the guide. By using the shapes to frame the collages for the cover of each step, which gives room for the spotlight words that simplify the naming for each step. As the finishing touch, a cover holds each of the brochures together, adding weight and importance to the entire printed material and campaign.
